What’s Included

Price your “Do It For Me” photo book using our book cost estimator, or simply fill out the project brief below and we’ll get back to you with a ballpark estimate. All “Do It For Me” packages include layout and design, a specially designed custom cover, and possible colour adjustment and/or cropping for the very worst cases. (e.g. badly deteriorated photo with a colour cast might be converted to monochrome for better aesthetics). Limited text is included – such as section headings, and forwards/dedications/brief messages on first and/or last pages.

Optional extras include: Scanning, photo ranking/selection, and basic photo editing in external applications such as Photoshop. Boiler plate text and captions are charged at $1 per textbox. “Do It For Me” Project Brief Form

How many photos are intended for the book. This generally dictates the number of pages, according to photo density - i.e. how many photos per page on average. We recommend 3-4 per page (some having more, some having less). You are free to instruct a different density - this primarily affects how large or small your photos will be on the printed page.

Note that layflat paper has a maximum page count of 80 (sides). Premium layflat paper has a maximum of 140 (sides)

Available cover options vary according to product. Fabric covers only available with PREMIUM LAYFLAT books. Optional foil lettering or photo inset for fabric covers available (surcharge may apply).

Font choice for cover title, section headings (or captions if present). Modern fonts are san serif, such as Arial, Callibri, Verdana, Helvetica etc. Traditional serif fonts include Times, Century Schoolbook, etc. Of course, there are a huge number of fonts that could be used, and your designer will choose one that they feel enhances the photobook's design. Unless you feel strongly one way or the other it is recommended to leave as "Designer's Choice".

The amount of backgrounds space on the page that is not filled by images (or other content). Recommended to leave as "Designer's Choice" - unless you feel strongly one way or the other.

The arrangement of images on the page. Conservative layouts keep images neatly in rectangular or square shaped groupings. Contemporary arrangements may be irregular in outline or even have overlapping images. Recommended to leave as "Designer's Choice" - unless you feel strongly one way or the other.

The page background surrounding image content. These can be simple plain colours, or for extra impact, they can be textured (e.g. paper, wood, distressed surfaces), or graphic "wallpaper" patterns. Recommended to leave as "Designer's Choice" - unless you feel strongly one way or the other.

"Designer's Choice" allows your designer choose a handful of colours that best suits your book, optionally using your additional input on preferred colour palettes. Otherwise your designer will only use the colour palette(s) you have indicated. (Some choices will overlap - they are not mutually exclusive.)

Here you can indicate any information not captured above, such as book structure, section headings, content (image or text) you have preselected for the cover and/or facing page. “Do It For Me” Process

  1. Select your photos and memorabilia (ask us about recommended numbers).
  2. Once you have collected your media, make an appointment or fill out the online form on this page to give us your project brief, and then deliver your photos (e.g. on a thumb drive, or digitally according to our supplied instructions).
  3. We’ll then design a unique book according to your steer.
  4. As soon as we have completed a first draft, we’ll send you an online soft proof for your feedback and/or approval.
  5. Based on your feedback, we tweak your book as required until you are completely happy.
  6. Once approved by you, we submit your book for printing with one of our production partners.
  7. Sit back and relax! Your book is generally ready in 1 to 4 weeks – depending upon your book’s attributes (format, paper type, cover, page count etc.).
